Home is a vital part of our lives. It gives us security, privacy, comfort, and control. It reflects our identity and adulthood, and shapes how we belong and connect in our neighbourhoods and communities.
Yet for many people, particularly people with disability, home is designed and controlled by others.
Join this workshop to hear about Individualised living arrangements and the innovative ways people with disability have created their own home, while getting the support they need.
Julianne has devoted her time to defining and refining what her daughter Jessica’s Good Life can be.
Jessica has an intellectual disability. Jessica is an artist and lives in her own home with the support of housemates.
Julianne and Jessica will provide insight into their commitment to support Jessica's choice of where to live and who to live with.
People with disability, their families, professionals and advocates, Australia-wide.
The cost covers both sessions
My Home, My Way is an initiative by the National Alliance of Capacity Building Organisations (NACBO). This workshop is brought to you by the Inclusive Lives: Possibility to Reality Project
