People with disability belong at the heart of our local community, not on the margins. Valued roles are a key pathway to connection, contribution and belonging. This free introductory workshop touches on some of the key concepts of Social Role Valorisation (SRV), a theory centred on helping people attain and maintain valued social roles.

Guest Presenter:Alison Wilson (pictured with her family) is a passionate parent advocate, for her daughter with disability to have a good life alongside her peers.
Alison uses the principles of Social Role Valorisation to make this happen and is keen to share this fantastic tool with others.
People with disability, their family and supporters, including professionals, who want to develop a deeper understanding of how to support a person with disability to plan and live a good life, included in the community. If you’re interested in SRV and its application, this workshop is for you!
