Are you very involved in managing your family member’s life and worried about what will happen when you are no longer able to support them?

Planning for the future takes time, but more importantly, it takes action. All the worry in the world will not keep our family members safe.

If you want to know more about what you can do now, this workshop will give you practical strategies. You will hear what other families have done, as well as information from a lawyer about important legal safeguards.

This is a 2-part series:

Wednesday 21st October 6pm-8pm AEDT

Wednesday 28th October 6pm-8pm AEDT

*You will need to attend both sessions.

This event is facilitated by Susanna Wagner and Linda Hughes. Susanna together with her family, is now moving forward with their planning and taking action. They are building a circle of support around Luca and considering strategies to ensure Luca enjoys a good life, now and into the future. Linda’s son Jacob is 34 and she continues to play a key role in ensuring Jacob enjoys a good life. She writes about her concerns and some strategies here.

Anne has a particular interest on how the law affects people with cognitive impairment and/or mental illness and has presented and consulted widely on this.
Anne will be discussing legal safeguarding and plans we can put in place now to safeguard the future of our family member with disability.
