Do you have a child with a disability in Year 5/6?
Is your child currently in a regular classroom and you want to make sure that continues?

Then join Resourcing Inclusive Communities - Inclusive Education Peer Network.

This group is for family members/parents of students with disability attending regular classes in Years 5 and 6 facilitated by an experienced family leader.

The beneficial impacts of an inclusive education for students with disability extend well beyond school, with research showing increased post-secondary education placement and improved employment and independence outcomes.

This Peer Network gives families the opportunity to discuss their experiences, share resources and practical tools to do with schooling.

Conversations may include topics such as what inclusive education should look like, classroom and playground supports, curriculum meetings with the school, enrolment for high school and more.

This Peer Network will initially run online through Term 3 on Fridays, fortnightly from 12 - 1.30pm.

The dates are:

  • Friday 22 July - 12.00 -1.30pm
